The Teton Mountains are the birthplace and ionic image of American alpinism. The sheer majesty of the Tetons is due to one unique characteristic. While the majority of large mountain peaks are secluded behind miles of undulating foothills, the Tetons rise immediately from the flat plane of the valley floor, without the cloak of foothills. 7,000 vertical feet of glacier and stone combine to form an overwhelming natural barrier, impressing all who visit.

Most of the visitors to the Tetons are casual tourists aiming to explore the terrain encompassing the low-altitude lakes, canyons, and valleys. A minority of those visitors ventures into the upper reaches of the Tetons. This wild and rugged terrain generally necessitates technical climbing skill and competent experience in potentially dangerous mountain environments.

To assist less-experienced climbers, the Exum Mountain Guides provide a remarkably safe guiding service to assist clients to improve their climbing skills and experience the awesome grandeur of alpine climbing in the Teton Mountains.
