Ice Point is located among a gathering of spires just north of Cascade Canyon. The most popular spire in this area is Symmetry Spire, closely followed by Storm Point. Located in the middle of these two summits, and largely ignored by the majority of climbers, is an excellent little spire known as Ice Point.

The case to climb Ice Point is two-fold: One, it is one of the few half-day summits in the Tetons Mountains, making the climb perfect for rest days and departure days. Two, the summit of Ice Point provides some of the most stunning mountain views in the entire Teton Range. From the summit, the north aspects of Teewinot, Grand Teton, and Mount Owen, and the south aspect of Symmetry Spire, rise from the valley in a rugged, sinister fashion. The view is truly breathtaking!

Ice Point’s Northwest Ridge is regarded as one of the 50 Classic Teton Climbs.
