St. George is an oasis near the Utah/Arizona/Nevada border. The city was founded in 1861 to inhabit the boundaries of the Utah Territory. The discovery of superb mountain biking and rock climbing was an added bonus.

St. George is a large town, offering good hotels, good restaurants, and its own airport. St. George is located 120 miles northeast of Las Vegas, and only 41 miles southwest of Zion National Park. Guidebooks detailing the area are common, and can be found on Amazon.com or at any local outdoors store.
