Arches National Park was created in 1971. The park covers 120 square miles in southeastern Utah, near Moab. The park preserves unique sandstone formations and over two thousand natural sandstone arches. The picture below is of the most famous arch, Delicate Arch. A large network of trails meanders throughout the entire park providing visitors an extensive opportunity to visit busy, world-famous arches or quiet, secluded landscapes.

The Arches Area of Utah is an outdoor paradise. The available activities are extremely diverse. There's hiking in Arches, mountain biking around Moab, river rafting in the Colorado River, and rock climbing all throughout the area. Spring and summer holidays are especially busy in the Arches Area; off-season trips provide a more rejuvenating environment of quiet and solitude.
