Mount Timpanogos, Utah
EcuadorUtahWashingtonWyomingArizonaColoradoCalifornia

Mount Raymond marks the midpoint of the Millcreek Ridge that separates Millcreek Canyon and Big Cottonwood Canyon. Although smaller in elevation than its 11,000-foot neighbors, Mount Raymond is a dramatic peak from every angle. Each face is lined with either large cliffs bands, steep slopes or narrow chutes. Three ridges lead to the summit; each ridge is narrow with moderate to substantial exposure.

This mountain is a backcountry skiing paradise, and has some of the best summit views in the Wasatch. Looking south to the Cottonwood Ridge, and west over the Wildcat Ridge is breathtaking. The most scenic, and most popular, route to the summit of Mount Raymond is the Northeast Ridge route. Additional routes are the Southeast Ridge route, which is a bit more difficult than the northeast ridge, and the Porter Fork route, which is a great hike finished by a moderate scramble. The most exciting route on the mountain is the East Chutes route, which travels directly up the cliffs chutes on the east face.
