Mount Timpanogos, Utah

Broads Fork Twin Peaks is also recorded as Salt Lake Twin Peaks, although Broads Fork is the more common name. The Twin Peaks massif forms the western limit of the Cottonwood Ridge, between Little Cottonwood Canyon and Big Cottonwood Canyon. From its summit, the mountain falls 7,000 feet to the floor of the Salt Lake Valley, and holds an imposing position along the Salt Lake City skyline.

There are numerous routes to the twin summits. The Standard Route is through Broads Fork to Twin Peaks' east ridge. The Robinson Variation also follows Broads Fork, and then deviates up the steep, east slope and onto the north ridge. Additional routes begin at Ferguson Canyon, North Fork Deaf Smith Canyon, Lisa Falls and Stairs Gulch. These are more technically difficult routes with elevation gains near 6,000 feet. And finally, Broads Fork Twin Peaks is combined with the summits of Sunrise Peak and Dromedary Peak to complete the Triple Traverse—a classic Wasatch alpine climb.
